Port Blair, May 22: The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced admission/ re-registration to its academic programmes offered through open and Distance learning (ODL) online mode for the academic session commencing in July 2024. The university offers intensive Masters Degree programmes, Bachelors Degree programme, PG diploma, Diploma and certificate programmes in various subjects. The application for admission /re-registration should be submitted online at https://ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in by 30th June 2024.
IGNOU offers UGC recognized Masters and Bachelors degree programmes in various disciplines of arts, science and commerce, in addition to ambitious job oriented courses such as MBA, MCA, MTTM, Library Science etc. The advantage unique with IGNOU is that there is no stipulated age limit to become a learner. Admission to IGNOU course do not require TC from the last institution last attended. The comfortable flexibility of learning system facilitates to undergo courses even while employed as the contact classes are not mandatory.
IGNOU Degrees/Diplomas/Certificates are recognized by all member universities of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and are at par with Degrees/Diplomas/ Certificates of all Indian Universities/ Institutions, as per UGC Circular letter No.F.1-52/2000 (CPP-II) dated 5th May, 2004. This year Regional Centre, Port Blair is launching the programme ‘one family: one IGNOU learner’.
