Port Blair, Aug. 17: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Bishnu Pada Ray has raised the issue of enhancing old age pension from Rs 1000/- to 2000/-, Increase of handicapped pension from Rs 1000/- to Rs 2000/-, Increase of allowance to destitute Women from Rs 1000/- to Rs 2000/- vide his letter date: 04.08.2010, respectively.

The MP has also raised the issue demanding introduction of Marriage Assistance Scheme to the Daughters of Widows/ Daughters of Orphan Women/ Orphan Girls @ Rs 20,000/- in A&N Islands at par with the National Capital of Delhi.
