Port Blair, Aug. 5: To boost the strength, energy and to spread brotherhood mentality amongst the workers fraternity to achieve the goal of victory in all the fields, the Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated Raksha Bandhan on 3rd Aug. 2012 at Kerala Samajam Hall.
Addressing the gathering, Shri L. Ganeshan, Prabhari, BJP A&N Islands gave examples and spread the message ‘united we win and divided we fall’. The Prabhari inspired the workers to reach the common people. He also said that the general public have become frustrated with the Congress lead UPA Govt, it has become the duty of the BJP workers to reach the people through their selfless services and positive attitude, sincerity and helping nature.
Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, in his speech criticised the working of Congress Party and the Administrator with examples as to how the duo are spoiling the peace of the islands and cheating the islanders. He informed the gatherings that a family member of the Congress Leader have taken the bricks and strong doors from the Viper island of British time and placed them in their house. By selling the valuable lands of these islands, they are pushing the islands at the stone age and the islanders towards poverty.
Among the others who spoke on the occasion were S/Shri R Mohan, the State President, Shri Vishal Jolly, Vice President.
The programme was organised under the Chairmanship of R Mohan, the St President which was conducted by Smti Sheela Singh, State Secretary. At the outset shri CH Babu, State President City has welcomed the gatherings while vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Jijith Rekh. A cultural programme was also organised on the occasion.
