Port Blair, Aug. 8: Quit India Day, which falls on the 9th August will be observed at the premises of Gandhi Bhavan tomorrow at 10.30 AM, which will be witnessed by the members of the Congress Party. According to Shri Kuldeep Sharma, President, PCC, the struggle for freedom by India from the authoritarian British rule included a series of sacrifices and national movements. Among these was the very famous national movement organized by Mahatma Gandhi – the Quit India Movement, which mark one of the turning point of the whole struggle.

Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has also requested the islanders to be united and protect the history, historical monuments, culture, peace and harmony of the Country in particular and the islands in general.
