Port Blair, Aug. 27: The General Secretary, AICC, Shri Janardan Dwivedi during his visit to the islands held a meeting with the delegation of VVEA on 25th August. During the meeting the delegation led by Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President PCC handed over a memorandum in which it was explained that the employees of the corporation have been deprived of the 6th Pay commission, with no fault of theirs.  .

Sharma has also advocated for the best managerial efforts and working capacity of the employees of the Corporation and explained the General Secretary AICC that in spite of being deprived of their rights, yet these employees are giving their sincere services for the betterment of the Corporation. He has also pointed about the hapless condition of the poorly paid industrial workmen of the Corporation.

On behalf of the employees, Shri Lally Baby, Secretary VVEA, Smti Fulkeria Roy and Smti Manorama Basak and from the Industrial employees side Shri Shaukat Ali have spoken to the visiting General Secretary.

After that the delegates of VVEA, a delegation of Parents Association also met Shri Dwivedi wherein their difficulties were placed. Shri Dwivedi has assured to take up the matters of both the associations with appropriate Ministries.
