Port Blair, May 24: The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS today flagged off 21 newly procured buses by State Transport Department from the premises of Secretariat in the presence of the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Transport), A&N Administration, Shri Nikhil Kumar, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, A&N Administration, Smt. Nandini Paliwal, IAS, the Secretary, Transport, Shri Vishwendra and Senior Officers of the A&N Administration. These 21 new TATA make buses have been procured by the Transport Department for the benefit of the commuters of A&N Islands.

Port Blair, May 24: The District Administration, South Andaman is continuously carrying out significant anti encroachment drives to preserve community spaces and ensuring lawful use of public property.

The Revenue officials of Ferrargunj Tehsil evicted encroachments in the shape of semi RCC structures constructed at Badmaspahad village and an area of 1000 Sq. Mtrs Govt. Revenue land restored restored to its original position.

Port Blair, May 24: The third round of training to Counting Supervisors, Micro Observers, Counting Assistants and Counting Staff engaged to assist the Returning Officer, A & N Islands Parliamentary Constituency in counting of votes for General Election-2024, was held in the DBRAIT auditorium here today. The Counting will take place in JNRM Counting Centre, earmarked for Counting of Votes for the A & N Islands Parliamentary Constituency on June 4, 2024. The Returning Officer, ANIPC, Shri Arjun Sharma, IAS visited DBRAIT auditorium and interacted with the Counting Personnel.
