Port Blair, Nov. 25: In order to inculcate the spirit of patriotism and unity among school students, the Department of School Education and Literacy, MoE, GOI is organizing Inter-School Band Competition (ISBC) throughout India. As part of this, the State Level Inter School Band Competition was organised by Samagra Shiksha, UT Mission A & N Islands today at Govt. Boys’ Sr. Sec. School to select the best school band both under Boys and Girls categories.

Port Blair, Nov. 25: The general public and Political Parties have been informed that the Election Commission of India, New Delhi has announced the schedule for Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls w.r.t. 01.01.2023 as the qualifying date.  As part of this, special campaign will be held on Nov. 26 & 27, 2022 & Dec. 3 & 4, 2022. The last date for disposal of claims and objections pertaining to Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls is Dec. 26 and final publication of electoral roll will be on Jan. 5, 2023.

Port Blair, Nov. 25: The two-day Andaman & Nicobar State Conference of CITU will be held on 26th and 27th November, 2022 at Port Blair.  The Open Session of the Conference will be inaugurated by Shri AK Padmanabhan, All India Vice President of CITU on 26th November, 2022 at Tiranga Park.  A massive procession will be taken out from Tiranga Park at 3.30 p.m. which after making a round of the town will culminate in a public meeting at Tiranga Park.  The public meeting will begin at 4.30 p.m.

Port Blair, Nov. 25: The Department of Home Science, JNRM, in association with the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Andaman and Nicobar Islands organised a National Seminar on ‘Agricultural Transformation and Rural Development in India with special reference to Andaman and Nicobar Islands: Issues, Challenges and Possibilities’ today. 

Port Blair, Nov. 25: The Central Government has made Aadhaar mandatory to avail the benefits of all the welfare schemes implemented by the Government of India. For enrolment of all the eligible 0-5 years children, the Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs along with other stakeholders is conducting special drives at Anganwadi Centers in South Andaman District for enrolling left out children in the age group of 0-5.
