Port Blair, Sept. 7: In continuation to earlier announcement, it is brought to the notice of the electricity consumers and general public that, to manage the shortfall of power generation through available power, ongoing load shedding will be continued in Port Blair and South Andaman area during evening peak hours from 1630 Hrs. to 0100 Hrs. for one hour and hour, if required, on daily basis as per schedule given below.

Port Blair, Sept. 6: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Minister of Road, Transport and Highways, Government of India to release of atleast Rs. 100 crores from the Central Road Fund for Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Minister of Road, Transport and Highways, Government of India, the Member of Parliament mentioned that the Central Road Fund, is earmarked for road construction and maintenance, and the fund remains available with the Ministry of Road, Transport and Highways for all States and UTs.

Port Blair, Sept. 6: In order to realize the vision of ‘Sahakar se Samridhi’, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS, Chief Secretary, A&N Administration handed over the keys and flagged off five Mobile Rural Marts to Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) of Kalighat, Keralapuram, Kishorinagar and Milangram of North & Middle Andaman District and Little Andaman PACS of South Andaman District under the NABARD Scheme of Rural Marts today.
