Port Blair, Nov. 5: The State Unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands today celebrated the 50th Birthday of Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party with much fanfare and by organising several programmes throughout the day in various Islands.
The Bharatiya Janata Party organised a havan this morning at Gayatri Parivar, Haddo where the leaders of the party had gathered along with Shri. Ajoy Bairagi and prayed for his long and healthy life.
The havan was followed with a Samaan Samaroh which was organised at State BJP Headquarters at Syamaprasad Mukhrejee Bhavan, Middle Point, Port Blair. Nearly 100 senior leaders including founding members of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the Islands Viz Hari Narayan Arora were felicitated.
The samaan samaroh was followed by a breakfast at the State BJP Headquarters. Fruits and Sweets were distributed at Pranab Kanya Ashram and G.B Pant Hospital later to celebrate the 50th Birthday of Shri. Ajoy BairagiJi, State President, BJP, A & N Islands.
Clothes were also distributed in Bhatu Basti to poor residents in the evening by Bairagi and the State Unit Team of BJP where nearly 70 poor individuals were provided with clothes.
Similar programmes were organised in different parts of the Islands.
