Port Blair, Sept. 21: "Decision with Delivery" has been the resolve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's government. The government has worked on a war-footing to provide affordable, accessible and quality healthcare to all.

PM Modi has taken steps for the health and well-being of all sections including children, girls and women. The central government is running an awareness campaign across the country in the month of September under the "Poshan Abhiyan", a "maha campaign" to prevent the ill effects of malnutrition in the country.

Andaman Nicobar Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha is celebrating Seva aur Samarpan Abhiyan to mark the 71st Birth Anniversary of the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi from 17th September to 7th October. Under this campaign, local pregnant women, children and mothers participated in the "Nutrition Awareness Campaign" which was organized by its State President Smt. Sampa Banerjee and in-charge of the program, Smt. Geeta Kandaswamy, Vice President, BJP Mahila Morcha. The campaign was organised at Birchgunj Anganwadi Center.

On the occasion, Smt. Sampa Banerjee explained the side effects and benefits of nutrition for the pregnant women, Lactating mother and growth of the children as well as Anganwadi worker. Mrs. Geeta Devi gave detailed information on nutritious food to women and children.

Yoga teacher M. Ashwini explained the benefits of yoga by getting the women involved in the program to do yoga. She also provided information about why yoga should be done by pregnant women. 

Anganwadi worker Mrs. Venkata Lakshmi had organized a recipe competition for Anganwadi women on nutritious diet, in which the winners were given prizes by the Bharatiya Janata Party Mahila Morcha.
