Port Blair, Jan 9: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has taken up the issue of non-release of two month’s salary to teachers working in the education department under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament mentioned that teachers working in the education department under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan are facing severe financial hardships as they have not received their salaries for the past two months.

He added that most of these teachers rely entirely on their salaries to support their families, and any delay in the processing of salary bills forces them to borrow money externally to meet their monthly expenses.

In this regard, he requested the Chief Secretary to timely release salaries for the teachers working under Samagra Shiksha. “This will allow them to smoothly run their households,” he added.
