DEO, N&M Organizes Nukkad Nataks in Mayabunder Tehsil; General Public & Youth Urged to Participate
Mayabunder, April 9: In chasing the ECI’s unwavering commitment and motto in ensuring the participation of every voter in this monumental celebration of democracy –‘Chunav Ka Parv, Desh Ka Garv’ and in order to increase the voters turnout under North & Middle Andaman District in the ensuing General Election to Lok Sabha-2024, the District Election Office, N&M Andaman after successful conduct of Nukkad Nataks under Rangat & Diglipur Tehsils during the last few weeks, Nukkad Nataks are being organized in various prominent places under Mayabunder Tehsil w.e.f 09.04.2024 to 12.04.2024 to create responsible democratic awareness for greater electoral participation amongst the first time voters and general people at large.
The schedule, venue & timing for conduct of Nukkad Nataks in Mayabunder Tehsil are as under:-
1) 10.04.2024 - 4.15 PM: Govt. Sr. Sec. School Chainpur Junction. 4.30 PM Basanti Puja Pandal, Tugapur Steel Bridge. 5.15 PM Mayabunder Bazaar. 6.00 PM Danapur Junction.
2) 12.04.2024 - 9.00 AM: Hanspuri under GP Chainpur
In view of the registration of low voters turnout during the last General Elections to Lok Sabha 2019 in the Hanspuri village under Mayabunder Tehsil, a full day special SVEEP campaign which include conduct of Nukkad Nataks, inter-personal communications, on-field programmes etc., will be organized in said village to promote greater electoral participation and increase the voters turn out in the ensuing General Elections-2024.
All the concerned BLOs, Panchayat Secretaries, Gram Rozgar Sewaks, Anganwadi Workers, CRPs, Sector Officers, AEROs, AROs, North & Middle Andaman District have been requested to motivate the general public and youth to participate in the above mentioned awareness programmes extensively in their respective areas/jurisdictions.
The District Election Officer/Deputy Commissioner, N&MA has appealed to the youth and general public of N&MA to participate in these SVEEP activities extensively with great enthusiasm and zeal and acquire knowledge/information so as to cast their vote(s) ethically and informatively on the Poll Day-19.04.2024.
