Port Blair, April 30: Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the BJP and Former State President of BJP-ANI, has requested compensation following the assessment of damages resulting from a devastating fire that occurred yesterday at the Billiground market in North & Middle Andaman. In a letter addressed to the Hon'ble Lt. Governor of the A & N Islands, Jolly detailed the extensive losses incurred.

Late last night, news emerged of a tragic fire engulfing the Billiground Bazaar area, resulting in significant damage to numerous shops, properties, and valuables. Initial reports indicate that over 14 shops were completely destroyed, leading to substantial property losses.

Jolly emphasized the urgent need for the affected individuals to be rehabilitated and provided with adequate compensation. He proposed that financial assistance in the form of compensation and loans, without the requirement of collateral securities, be extended to support the affected merchants in rebuilding their shops and establishments.

In his appeal to the Hon'ble Lt. Governor, Jolly urged for immediate and concerted efforts to address the critical situation and provide necessary support to the affected community.
