Port Blair, Nov. 14: Along with rest of the nation, the 127th birth anniversary of Pdt Jawaharlal Nehru was celebrated at Gandhi Bhavan, Port Blair on 14th Nov 2016. At the outset the PCC President, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma garlanded the portrait of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, first Prime Minister of India, followed by floral tribute by all leaders, supporters and general public gathered in the function.
In his brief address Shri Kuldeep said that it is his pride of saluting and paying humble respects to Jawahar Lal Nehru jee, the architect of modern India. India of today is because of Nehru jee’s ideas and lifetime dedication to the nation. "Nehru's life and vision, his struggles and his achievements were no less than epic.
"If India is a vibrant democracy and the largest developing economy today, it is because of the initiatives of Nehru jee to introduce green revolution and launch various multifaceted developmental programmes, the PSUs and premier institutions of learning," Kuldeep added.
