Port Blair, Sept. 11: The issue of non availability of toilet facilities at Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Kishorinagar under Diglipur Tehsil was raised by the Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray in the Parliament. It has been reported that the students and teachers in this school were forced to go to the nearby jungle to attend nature’s call. The reason being dilapidated condition of toilets, which was never maintained since the school was opened.

While the situation was examined by the MP during his visit, the Minister of State in the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Dr. D. Purandeshwari said, “The Administration of the Union Territory of A&N Islands has reported that Govt. Senior Secondary School, Kishorinagar has adequate toilets for Students and Teachers”.

Responding to the reply of the MOS, the Member of Parliament, Shri Bishnu Pada Ray said, “It is a white lie…”.

“I do not blame the Ministry for the wrong answers presented in the Parliament”, said the MP.

“It is the A&N Administration which is misleading the Parliament”, Bishnu added.
