Port Blair, April 23: The Lieutenant Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands has accorded approval for continuation of incentive oriented schemes under Sector Industries & Minerals, Sub-Sector Village & Small enterprises for the 12th five year plan period 2012-17.
Under the scheme 50% Subsidy is given for procurement of Pollution Control Equipments, Captive Power Generation Sets, Solar Power, Wind Power, Bio Mass and Hydro Power machineries & equipments for Micro & Small Enterprises set up in Andaman & Nicobar Islands. The subsidy is reimbursable under the programme and the maximum limit of subsidy of Rs. 7.50 lakhs each for Captive Power Generation Sets and Pollution Control Equipment and Rs. 10.00 lakhs for Solar Power, Wind Power, Bio Mass and Hydro Power Machinery & Equipments.
All the registered (Obtained EM-II) Micro & Small Enterprises eligible for subsidy under the programme.
