ASA Celebrates Bengali New Year

Port Blair, April 16: On the eve of Bengali New Year “Poyla Baishak 1426”, the members of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA), Junglighat, Port Blair, arranged a cultural evening “Nababarsher Utsav” in the Kripa Anand Coloy, Lamba Line, Port Blair on 15th April 2019 Monday at 6.00pm. Smti. Minati Biswas, Ex. Adhyakshya, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman was the Chief Guest in this programme.

The members of the Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA) presented an inaugural song ‘Asho he baishakh’. The students of Academy and others presented their variety entertainment programme.

At the outset Shri Tapas Kumar Das, President of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA) welcomed the gathering. Smti. Minati Biswas blessed the children for their performance and appreciated the musical artists with blessing of New Year. 

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Sri Soumen Home Chowdhury, member of Andaman Sangeet Academy (ASA), Junglighat, Port Blair.
