Blind Murder Solved Within 24 Hours

Port Blair, Nov. 16: A murder was committed at Cattle Pound, Chunna Bhatta, Panighat, South Andaman in the intervening night of Nov. 12 and 13, 2012 wherein a person named Delesu (A Hindu Priest) was killed by unknown person. Soon after the report was received at PS Bambooflat, a team under the close supervision of Dy. SP. Shri. T. Sebastian proceeded on the spot to investigate.

On 14th Nov. 2012 at around 1700 hrs the police team successfully nabbed the accused B. Tejeswar Rao, 24, S/o B. Satyam, R/o Panighat, who is a fisherman by profession. A crime no. 171/2012 dated 13/11/2012 was registered under 302 IPC.

According to reports, the accused admitted that he had committed the murder as he felt that the victim had used black magic on him to ruin his wealth and property.
