Port Blair, May 22: The Indian Navy and Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) have been carrying out coordinated patrols (CORPAT) twice a year since 2002. The CORPAT is also accompanied by a bilateral exercise at sea. The 31^st edition of the IND-INDO CORPAT would commence on 23^rd May2018 with opening ceremony at Port Blair. As part of the CORPAT, the Indonesian Naval Ship KRI Sultan Thaha Syaifuddin (376) and Indonesian Maritime Patrol Aircraft would arrive at Port Blair on 23^rd May 2018 for the opening ceremony.

Indian Naval Ship Kulish and Indian Naval Maritime Patrol Aircraft Dornier would be participating in the exercise from the Andaman and Nicobar Command. During the stay at Port Blair, various interactions including sports fixtures, ship visits and professional interactions would be undertaken between the Indian Navy and Indonesian Navy. On completion of the Opening Ceremony, the ships and patrol aircraft of the two countries would depart Port Blair and undertake patrolling on the respective sides of the 236 nautical mile long International Maritime Boundary Line. The closing ceremony of the 31stINDINDO CORPAT is scheduled at Belawan, Indonesia on 09 June2018.
