Port Blair, April 22: As part of Academic Support Services, the Regional Centre of IGNOU at Port Blair is organizing Peer-Group-Study at its Library hall. The group study will be conducted daily on working days from 2.30 pm to 5.30 pm. The Distance learners are normally isolated from their peer-group due to various valid reasons. The peer-group interaction normally takes place at Induction Meeting, Sunday Classes, assignment submission period and at examination hall. In academic achievement and learning process, the role of peer-group places a significant role. 

To provide an opportunity to have academic interaction at peer-group level, the course specific groups are invited at Regional Centre Library from 23rd to 26th April, 2019. On Tuesday, 23.04.2019 Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education (DNHE), Certificate in Food & Nutrition (CFN)  and Nutrition and Child Care (CNCC), on Wednesday, 24.04.2019- Master of Arts in English (MEG), on Thursday, 25.04.2019 – Master of Arts in Hindi (MHD) and on Friday, 26.04.2019 -  Master of Arts in Sociology (MSO) students are invited. The July-2018 and January-2019 batch students are advised to contact Ms. Asma Bibi, Semi-Professional Assistant (Librarian) at 03192-242888. Individual SMS and email also sent from Regional Centre. The attempt of the Regional Centre will boost the passing percentage of the students of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
