Car Nicobar, April 22: A report was received by the Emergency Operation Centre, Car Nicobar that two fishermen had ventured into the sea on 18th evening and had been missing since then. Based on the report, the State Disaster Management in coordination with the Air Force, Indian Coast Guard and MRCC District Administration of Car Nicobar conducted a search for the missing fishers.
The coordinated efforts finally yielded when the two fishers were located on 20th April 2019 at 6 nautical miles South East of Malacca Jetty. The boat had got adrift since 19th April. Both the fishers were found in healthy state and were brought back to Malacca jetty.
