Port Blair, Sept. 13: Shri. Sunil Deodhar, National Secretary, BJP and National Co-convenor of Seva Saptah Programme, arrived Port Blair today on a two days visit. The Bharatiya Janata Party is scheduled to launch a national wide programme “Seva Saptah” on tomorrow. Shri. Sunil Deodhar, will inaugurate the Seva Saptah Programme at A&N Islands. In this connection, the State unit BJP organized a workshop at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Bhawan, Middle Point, Port Blair on today (13.09.2019). Shri. Sunil Deodhar enlightened the party leaders and karyakartas about how the Seva Saptah Programme is to be observed and organized in these islands.
Shri. Tarango Kumar Dhali, State Vice- President, BJP was appointed as State Covenor and Smti. Sheela Singh, State Vice- President, BJP was appointed as State Co-covenor of Seva Saptah Programme in these islands.
The Seva Saptah Programme would be observed from 14th September, 2019 to 20th September, 2019. The Seva Saptah Programme would be organized to observe a week long dedicated service to poor, downtrodden, needy people as well as for the better nature and environment and celebrate the birthday of our Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, on 17th September, 2019.
Several programmes such as distribution of fruits at hospitals, Orphanages and Ashrams, Blood Donation Camps, Cleanliness Drive, planting tress etc., are slated to be held/organized during this week by the State unit of BJP.
