Port Blair, Feb 9: The District Legal Services Authority, Andaman & Nicobar Islands will be holding National Lok Adalat in the District Court Complex at Port Blair and Sub-Divisional Court Complex at Mayabunder and Circuit Court at Diglipur on 09-03.2024. Besides the compoundable nature of cases pending in different courts, disputes at the pre-litigation stage will also be entertained by the National Lok Adalat for disposal upon consensual settlement between the parties. Pre-litigation disputes include NI Act cases u/s 138, money recovery cases, labour dispute cases, electricity and water bills cases (excluding non-compoundable), maintenance cases civil disputes and disputes under the Consumer Protection Act.

Port Blair, Feb 9: The three-day workshop on ‘impact assessment and capacity building’ for AIR Kisanvani and DD Kisan/Krishi Darshan Programme Producers representing the South Eastern States of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Chhattisgarh and Union Territories and Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Pondicherry concluded today in CIARI here. The workshop was organized by Farm & Home Unit of Directorate General of AIR in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Government of India.

Port Blair, Feb 9: With a view to promote good nutrition amongst the Islanders, the ICDS Urban Project under Directorate of Social Welfare will be organizing a 'Food Mela' with a tag line-‘sip, bite and believe: nutritious magic in every delicious flavour’ at Girls School from 3 to 8 pm on Feb. 10, 2024. This event aims to create awareness about the importance of nutrition in day-to-day life. SHGs, NGOs, and Anganwadi workers will present their culinary creations while health baby show and rangoli competition will also be organised during this event.
