Panighat, Feb 8: Stay Strong Youth Club today conducted an awareness programme on Cyber Crime & POCSO at Panighat Chunna Bhatta. On the occasion, Shri Abdul Nasir, SHO Bambooflat and Smti. Pramila Kumari, Zilla Parishad Member explained about Domestic Violence, Drug Abuse, Traffic Rules and Regulations, Cyber Crime, POCSO and how to handle teenagers, community policing etc.

Port Blair, Feb 8: With a view to promote good nutrition amongst the Islanders, the ICDS Urban Project under Directorate of Social Welfare will be organizing a 'Food Mela' titled ‘Sip, Bite and Believe: Nutritious Magic in every delicious flavour’ at Govt. Girls Senior Secondary School from 3 pm to 8 pm on Feb. 10, 2024. This event aims to create awareness about the importance of day-to-day life nutrition. SHGs, NGOs, and Anganwadi workers will have the opportunity to sell their culinary creations, contributing to a vibrant culinary marketplace. Health Baby Show and Rangoli competition will also be organised.

Port Blair, Feb 8: The general public and all street vendors/hawkers have been directed not to occupy any road side/pathway, especially area adjacent to Veer Savarkar Airport, Flag Point, Gandhi Park to DBRAIT at Dollygunj and Raj Niwas to Phoenix Bay Jetty w.e.f. 15.02.2024 to 23.02.2024 in view of the forthcoming VVIP visit to these Islands.

Car Nicobar, Feb 8: The District Administration Nicobars has started village wise and polling station wise EVM hands-on practice for all eligible voters of Car Nicobar Tehsil from today. The programme which commenced at Community Hall of Kinmai village witnessed a good crowd of tribal community who had come forward for hands-on experience with EVM. Female voters & especially abled voters attended in large numbers. A senior citizen, Shri Johny, 84 years also participated in the awareness programme held at Community hall and availed the EVM hands-on experience.
