Shri. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman was personally present and participated in the cleanliness drive. The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman interacted with the team members and reiterated that people will have to shun this notion that keeping clean their surroundings is somebody else's job and not theirs. The people need to understand that if they can cause litter, they will have to clean it also. Right to health is very closely linked to clean environment and every individual is responsible to protect each other’s human rights.

The District Administration aims for organizing such cleanliness drives, periodically, mainly at public places, keeping in tune with the spirit of “Swachh Bharat Mission” and thus, motivating others to inculcate the habit and culture of cleanliness. District Administration further appeals to all civil societies to participate and promote such cleanliness drives in their campaigns to contribute in the journey of cleaning and become a part of the Swachh Bharat Mission for improving access to safe and accessible green public spaces.
