Port Blair, Feb 4: In a letter addressed to Chief Secretary, President of AATO, Shri. M. Vinod has thanked Andaman Administration for the initiative to resume tourism. At the same time Vinod urged the Administration to open tourist spots like beaches, parks, other sightseeing places and water sport activities which are the main attraction for tourist in these islands.

He mentioned that other states are open for tourist and the night curfew imposed by some of the states have also been withdrawn. Beaches are the main attraction and the tourist will only return to the islands if they are allowed to visit beaches and enjoy water sport activities.

The industry has already lost the entire month of January and 1st week of February. Any further delay will lead to loss of the entire peak period of tourism, said Vinod.

He has requested Andaman Administration to lift the restrictions and open all the beaches, water sport activities and all other sightseeing attractions of these islands so that tourism can be revived.
