HRS to Sit on Dharna in GB Pant, Final Ritual of Aryan to Take Place Only After Issues are Resolved

Port Blair, March 7: The Islands’ only referral hospital, G.B. Pant is in a pathetic shape today, with numerous complaints from the members of general public and with the number of deaths increasing in the hospital due to negligence. The Hindu Rashtra Shakti (HRS), A&N Islands has been raising the issue from time to time apart from various other political parties and social workers but nothing seems to improve.

Today a five-year old boy hailing named Aryan, who had been brought to G.B. Pant Hospital after he suffered a head injury, lost his life at 2.30 am. Following the demise of Aryan, the HRS State Youth President, Shri Angshuman Roy who was at G.B. Pant helping a labourer family has questioned the negligence on the part of the doctors in the hospital.

Angshuman demanded the following answers from the A&N Administration:

1) When was Aryan admitted in the GB Pant hospital?

2) Why was the CT scan delayed?

3) After the CT Scan report came from Apollo Clinic, what steps were required to save the life of the Aryan?

4) Why was the required surgery not performed even after receiving the CT Scan report from Apollo Clinic?

5) When will the required surgical equipment to perform the life-saving surgeries be made available to the surgeons of GB Pant hospital?

6) Who should be termed responsible for the demise of Aryan?

The Hindu Rashtra Shakti has decided to sit on a dharna in G.B. Pant Hospital till the questions posed are not addressed to. The HRS has announced that the final ritual of Aryan will be performed only after the issues and shortcomings of GB Pant are resolved. The HRS has also warned that the voice for people’s rights will continue even if the A&N Administration decides to arrest the agitating members of HRS and general public.
