Kadamtala, March 10: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma participated in the International Women’s Day programme at Kadamtala on March 9, 2023. The event saw the participation of women from two Panchayats of the area, namely Uttara and Kadamtala Panchayats, in large numbers.

The event started with a warm welcome extended to the Member of Parliament by the women participants. The women expressed their appreciation for the MP's participation in the event and his support for women's rights and empowerment.

During his speech, the Member of Parliament highlighted the importance of women's rights and their contributions to society. He acknowledged the challenges faced by women in society and pledged his commitment to working towards creating a more gender-inclusive society.

The event was organized to celebrate International Women's Day, which is observed annually on March 8th. The programme featured various activities and discussions focused on empowering women and promoting gender equality.

The Member of Parliament expressed his gratitude to the organizers and participants for making the event a huge success. He encouraged women to continue their efforts towards creating a better future for themselves and their communities.

Today the Member of Parliament, attended the International Women’s Day programme at Prem Nagar as Chief Guest.

The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Rashida, Police Inspector, Andaman Nicobar Police, and Ms. Zareena, CDPO, as special guests. Lady councillors of PBMC Ward Number 10 Smti. T. Mangayakarasai and Ward Number 12 Smti. M. Vasanta, along with other prominent women of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, were also present at the event.

The event was made even more special by the presence of children who presented dance and songs and recited poems to celebrate the achievements of women.

In his speech, the Member of Parliament lauded the contribution of women to society and highlighted their role in shaping the future of the country. He emphasized the need to empower women and ensure that they have equal opportunities in all spheres of life.

Smti. Shanta Singh, Smti. Ratna Kannan, Smti. Zubaida Begum, the Ward Councillor of Ward Number 7 PBMC, Mrs. Amar Devi also spoke on the occasion.  The event concluded with a vote of thanks by R K Raj, OBC Chairman ANTCC. The event was attended by a large number of people, and it was a great success.
