Port Blair, Aug 16: Established in 1994, Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) is a registered All India organization of Micro and Small Industries in India. Today, Laghu Udyog Bharati has its membership spread over the length and breadth of the country. It has membership in more than 400 Districts and has 250 Branches all over the country. The organization's core mission revolves around fostering entrepreneurship and self-employment, ultimately driving the sustainable progress of Micro & Small Industries and contributing to the sustainable growth of the country.

Laghu Udyog Bharati (A & N Chapter) successfully convened its Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 12th, 2023, at SeaShell, Marine Hill, Port Blair.

The AGM featured the introduction of the newly appointed managing committee for the term 2023-2025. Mr. A. L. Verma was designated President, while Mr. Girish Arora and Mr. Brijesh Pandey continued in their positions as General Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.

The Chief Guest of the event was Shri Ghanshyam Ojha, the National General Secretary, All India Laghu Udyog Bharati and Shri Om Prakash Mittal, Past President of All India Laghu Udyog Bharati and Prabhari of Purvottar, Laghu Udyog Bharati, the Guest of Honor.

Shri Yogesh Kumar, Assistant Director (IEDS) & I/c of MSME, LUB members from the MSME sector of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and notable dignitaries from the islands also graced the occasion.

This AGM was organized to discuss pertinent issues, celebrate achievements and chart the path forward for fostering growth and innovation within the sector. It served as a platform for LUB members and associates to reflect on the achievements of the past year and discuss strategies for the future.

The AGM also included insightful panel discussions and interactive sessions with Shri Ghanshyam Ojha and Shri Om Praksh Mittal.

Over the years, Laghu Udyog Bharati has played a pivotal role in catalyzing the growth of the MSME sector. LUB actively promotes entrepreneurship while ensuring the ongoing and comprehensive growth of small and micro industries, contributing to the sustained progress of the nation. LUB is represented in all the important Committees, boards, and agencies constituted by the Government of India, like the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Board, Pre-budget consultations by the Prime Minister and Finance Minister, and the Ministry of Commerce, among others.

As Laghu Udyog Bharati continues to champion the cause of MSMEs, the organization remains steadfast in its mission to create an ecosystem of sustainable growth where small businesses can flourish, contribute to economic prosperity, and drive inclusive growth within these Islands.
