Hutbay, March 20: The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS on second day of his visit to Hutbay today, visited Primary Health Centre, Hutbay and interacted with health officials. The CMO, Dr. Shiny Varghese briefed the Chief Secretary about the facilities available in the PHC. CS praised the way the PHC is maintained. He also appreciated the efforts of the Doctors and paramedical staff for providing better health care to the patients at Hutbay.

Member of Parliament Expresses Gratitude to Lt. Governor for Conducting the Competition

Port Blair, March 20: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has expressed gratitude to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands for conducting “Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Open Sea Swimming competition 2023” and has also appreciated his sportsman spirit and commendable fitness level for participating in the competition and completing the race.

Port Blair, March 20: The Department of Home Science, JNRM, NSS Units No.1 & 4 in association with the National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India organised One-Day Awareness Programme on Drug Abuse Prevention for College Students and valedictory programme in JNRM on 18th March 2023.

The Chief Guest, Shri.Sanjay Singh, Adhyaksh, Zilla Parishad addressing the participants said that mental determination is more important to keep oneself away from drug abuse and addiction. Due to the drugs, not only self but the entire family gets affected. The intervention programmes for the vulnerable people is important for which with community participation and public cooperation is important. Shri. Sanjay Singh said collective initiatives among individuals and groups is required for which the students’ role is very important.
