Port Blair, June 12: The District Child Protection Unit of North & Middle Andaman organized an awareness programme to celebrate ‘World Day Against Child Labour’ at Gram Panchayat Hall, Pokkadera today. The event held under the guidance of Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, N&MA aimed at raising awareness and mobilizing community efforts to combat child labour.

Port Blair, June 12: The Department of Education, A & N Administration organized a State Level Closing ceremony of Summer Camp under the aegis of Eco Club today in the premises of Government Senior Secondary School, School Line. The programme witnessed a thoughtful display of posters prepared by the students of the school, depicting various themes like planting trees, save water, reduce pollution, recycling of waste, etc. Under the theme ‘Ek Ped Meri Maa ke Naam’, the school students, teachers and community members planted saplings in the school campus.

Port Blair, June 12: Passengers/general public have been informed that due to administrative reasons, the scheduled sailing programme of the vessel Sindhu to Kolkata via Mayabunder & Diglipur on June 18, 2024 at 0800 hrs from Port Blair and her return voyage from Kolkata to Port Blair via Diglipur & Mayabunder on June 24, 2024 at 1200 hrs has been postponed.

Port Blair, June 12: The Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration is going to organize a five-day hobby class on paper-mache craft and painting scheduled from June 18 to 28, 2024 at Andaman Club. Renowned artist Shri Mahananda Gomasta will conduct the hobby classes on paper mache as well as painting.
