Port Blair, March 17: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to arrange for a sailing of a ship to Visakhapatnam during the first week of summer vacation from Port Blair via Hut Bay.

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor the Member of Parliament mentioned that during his recent visit to the Little Andaman, he was made aware of the hardships and difficulties faced by a large number of people in travelling to Visakhapatnam.

Port Blair, March 17: The ANTCC President, Shri. Rangalal Halder today requested the Administration to appoint Specialist Doctors from mainland for AV Fistula Treatment for the Dialysis Patients in the Govt. Hospital of Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

In his letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Halder said that the patients in GB Pant Hospital are facing a lot of hardship due to unavailability of Specialist Doctors.

Port Blair, March 17: The Andaman & Nicobar Rowing Association (ANRA) President Mr. G Bhasker on Thursday 16th March 2023 chaired a meeting to felicitate the prominent sports personalities of Islands and Nation on Thursday at TSG Emerald View, Port Blair.

At the outset Bhasker welcomed all the sports personalities in his opening address, and said, "I am glad to see that we are all united in our endeavour to work together for the betterment of sports in these Islands. We will work as a team, as friends, as a family. I thank everyone for joining us today. You are the key people who will be taking Indian sports especially Rowing, Canoeing and Kayaking forward in the coming years".

Port Blair, March 17: As part of its massive modernisation programme, Veterinary Hospital Junglighat has acquired a sophisticated digital X-ray equipment yesterday, thus fulfilling the long felt demand of the livestock farmers, especially the pet owners of the Islands who had been demanding for X-ray facilities for the last so many years. The machine was inaugurated by Smti Nandini Paliwal, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary (AH&VS) in the presence of Shri B S Jaglan, Secretary, (AH&VS), A&N Administration during their maiden visit to the Veterinary Hospital, Junglighat.  The Director (AH&VS), Dr. Ashok Gupta and other senior officials of the Department were also present during the visit.
