Port Blair, June 27: Nayan Sarkar was arrested as an illegal immigrant from Bangladesh, U/s 14 Foreigners Act read with sections 465/468/471/120(B) IPC on 07.05.2021 by CCS Police Station. He had come to India on a Bangladeshi Passport and Visa on 02.11.2015 and had become illegal immigrant after expiry of his visa. As an illegal immigrant he had acquired Indian identity documents like PAN card, Aadhar card, birth certificate.

ANI Administration Calls Upon People not to be Complacent with Cases Coming Down  

Port Blair, June 27: Vaccination is vital to safeguard oneself from corona virus as the virus is still active. Appealing to people to get themselves vaccinated the Secretary, IP&T, Shri Sunil Kumar Singh while addressing a COVID-19 media briefing held in the conference hall of IP&T today, stated that the only way to protect oneself is to get vaccinated. He said, the vaccination drive is smoothly conducted in A&N Islands and today, till 3 pm, 115 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 + were vaccinated. He also called upon the people to adhere to COVID Appropriate Behaviour, to check the transmission of the virus. The Secretary said, during the RTPCR conducted on 605 passengers who arrived by flight yesterday from mainland, 7 were detected COVID positive. He said, we should not be complacent with the cases coming down and must be ever vigilant. He also informed that 4 flights with 601 passengers arrived today and the RTPCR reports are awaited.

Port Blair, June 27: The Hindu Rashtra Shakti of Andaman and Nicobar Islands distributed ration items, sanitizers and facemasks to needy families in the city on Friday & Saturday. The relief was extended to around four families at Garacharma, five families at Middle Point / Bengali club area and two families at Radha Swamy Satsang Garacharma, four families at Chandni Chowk, five families at Mazhar pahad one families Ram Mandir Pattargudda and eight families collected the kits from HRS office. The Hindu Rashtra Shakti has already distributed ration among 385 families from South Andaman and 225 from N&M Andaman during the lockdown, the HRS will distribute more to needy families.

Port Blair, June 27: The North & Middle Andaman District Administration in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic has taken various actions to strengthen the healthcare facilities in order to provide better care to the patients and also ensure the welfare of the children who have lost their parents due to COVID-19.

The Hindu Rashtra Shakti team of North & Middle Andaman handed over 04 ration kits to Dr. Angel Bhati Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner (North & Middle Andaman). The Deputy Commissioner (North & Middle Andaman) along with HRS team distributed the ration kits to the needy children who have lost either or both of their parents due to COVID-19 or otherwise at Mayabunder.

Port Blair, June 27: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per the data received from Health Department, in North & Middle Andaman District today (June 27), 1658 beneficiaries were vaccinated, out of which, 1654 were in the age group of 18-44 years and rest of them were of 45 plus age group.
