Port Blair, Jan. 19: As part of commemoration of first anniversary of naming of 21 Islands in memory of Param Veer Chakra Awardees, a Kavi Sammelan titled ‘Veer Gaatha’ will be organized by the Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration tomorrow (Jan. 20) at 4 pm at National Memorial Cellular Jail. Budding and prominent poets of the Islands will participate in the Kavi Sammelan.

Port Blair, Jan. 19: The passengers have been informed that due to technical reasons the sailing programme of MV Campbell Bay to Campbell Bay via Nancowry on 23.01.2024 at 0900 Hrs from Port Blair and her return voyage on 25.01.2024 at 0800 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry has been cancelled. Passengers those who are holding the tickets of MV Campbell Bay for the above sailings have been advised to cancel their tickets and get full refund.

Mayabunder, Jan. 19: The National Health Authority, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India has launched the Ayushman App BIS 2.0 as part of the Ayushman Bhav campaign. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store by the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) beneficiaries who can create their PMJAY Cards using this app. The PMJAY beneficiaries of A&N Islands having Priority Household (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) categories of Ration Cards can create their PMJAY Cards using this app. The PHH and AAY Ration Card holders can also visit the nearest Gram Panchayat & Health Centres to get their PMJAY Cards created.
