Port Blair, April 24: The State Child Protection Society, under Directorate of Social Welfare, recently organized a Life Skill Education Awareness Program at Darussalam Yatheem Khana. The program aimed to empower and educate children under the care and protection of Child Care Institutions (CCI) about essential life skills. The program saw participation of all children. These children were enthusiastic and eager to learn valuable life skills that would help them navigate through various challenges in life.

Subhajit Basu, Hon’ble Special Judge under POCSO Act, North & Middle Andaman District, Mayabunder delivered a significant judgment in the PS Kadamtala case FIR No. 16/2023 dated 22.05.2024, U/s 6 of POCSO Act, 2012, sentencing the accused Rupesh Beck to 10 years of rigorous imprisonment.
