Rangat, Jan 23: Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member of the BJP and Former State President BJP-ANI, visited the site of a devastating fire in Rangat Bazaar early this morning. During his visit, he interacted with victims who suffered significant losses in terms of livelihood, houses, and property. Subsequently, Shri Jolly engaged in discussions with the Deputy Commissioner of North & Middle Andaman to initiate appropriate measures for assessing the extent of damages caused to the affected families fairly.

Port Blair, Jan 23: Today, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, offered floral tributes to the legendary freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at the statue located in Marina Park. 23 January is observed as Parakram Diwas (Day of Valour).
The programme was also attended by the Chairperson of PBMC, Smti S. Selvi, many councillors, prominent citizens, members of Civil Society, media persons and the general public. The programme was organised by Shri Abdul Islam, Councillor Ward No.4, PBMC.

Port Blair, Jan 23: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) on the 23rd of January, 2024, organized a Mass Protest in front of Gandhi Statue, Port Blair under the dynamic leadership of the ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder and the Campaign Committee Chairman Shri. TSG Bhasker to condemn the orchestrated violent attacks on the convoys of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra by the BJP-led Modi government of Assam.

Port Blair, Jan. 23: For the purpose of implementing the National Quality Assurance Standards (NQAS) programme, the Central Team, which included Dr. J. N. Srivastava (Advisor), Dr. Anand Yadav (Consultant), and Dr. Abhay Dahiya (Consultant), visited A&N Islands. They determined where the Health Institutions needed to improve and assured full implementation of NQAS by the year 2026. The Central Team held a meeting with UT officials under the Chairmanship of The Mission Director-UTHM with Director of Health Services, Director (ANIIMS), State Nodal Officer (NQAS) and State Programme Manager– State Health Society where various gaps and challenges faced by the Health Institutions and the action plan for the same were discussed.
