Port Blair, Oct. 29: The recent "Jan Akrosh Raily' which have been organised as protest against brutal attack against Hindus in Bangladesh  in the region under the guidance of Dr. Mandal and District President, Shri Dilip has led to awaken the men and women of the region. Consequently, few women of Govindapur Village contacted one of our members Smti Kanika Baroi to call Dr.Mandal and Mr Dilip to organised a meeting at their village and to provide them opportunity to work under the banner of Hindu Rashtra Shakti to serve the society and for the purpose of Hindu Unity and welfare of humanity.

Port Blair, Oct. 29: PS Pahargaon team has busted a gambling den at Andal Basti and arrested 06 persons alongwith a total amount of Rs. 30,280/- which was used for gambling.

Upon receipt of credible information regarding gambling at Andal Basti near Murdakari, a police team comprising of SI Mohd. Rahil Islam, ASI Tarak Nath, HC/ A. Raja and PC/ Manikandan raided the gambling den on 28/10/2021 and arrested 06 persons involved in gambling. An amount of Rs. 30,280/- and a deck of playing cards were recovered from the possession of accused persons. The accused persons are identified as follows (1) A. Murugesan R/o Bhatubasti, (2) Biswajit Mondal R/o Patthergadda 4 No., (3) P. Mohammed Hanifa R/o Garacharma, (4) Ajay Golder R/o Bhatubasti, (5) V. Sundaram R/o Prothrapur, (6) P. Gurunathan R/o Garacharma.

Port Blair, Oct. 29: Under DAY-NULM scheme of Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, the City Livelihood Centre (CLC)  facilitates women SHGs formed under it by handholding them in promoting  and Marketing their product for enhanced livelihood. In the upcoming Diwali season in order to promote and marketing the SHG’s freshly prepared homemade snacks items such as Murukku and Addrassam under the brand name “SonChiraiya”. PBMC has appealed to the public to purchase their item and support them for their sustainability and for an enhanced livelihood.

Port Blair, Oct. 29: A total of 4,89,810 doses of vaccines have been administered so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2,81,603 (approx.). A total of 1,72,963 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date. A total of 1598 people were vaccinated today in A&N Islands.
