Port Blair, May 8: Smt. M. Rajani, Zilla Parishad Member from Tushnabad Constituency, Indian National Congress, has been elected as the new Adhyaksha of the Zilla Parishad, South Andaman while Shri P. A. Sharfuddin, Zilla Parishad Member from Mithakhari Constituency, Indian National Congress, has been elected as new Up- Adhyaksh of the Zilla Parishad, South Andaman for the third year term (2022-2027).

Port Blair, May 8: For upgrading the professional skills of Police drivers, the Andaman & Nicobar Police has partnered with Headquarters Close Protection Force (CPF), NSG, Manesar, Gurgaon, Haryana for a specialized Tactical Driving Course aiming towards enhancing the skills and capabilities of Drivers of Andaman & Nicobar Police. The course has commenced on 6th May 2024 and will continue for two weeks, at Port Blair.

Port Blair, May 8: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration has assigned the task of preparing the Integrated Island Management Plan (IIMP) for Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose Dweep (NSCB Dweep) to the National Centre for Sustainable Coastal Management (NCSCM), Chennai, in accordance with the Island Coastal Regulation Zone (ICRZ) Notification, 2019.

Port Blair, May 8: Celebrating the victory of Congress candidates in the Zilla Parishad Election, South Andaman, the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee extended its warm congratulations to Smt. M. Rajani on being elected as Adhyaksha and Shri. P.A Sharfuddin on being elected as Up-Adhyaksh unanimously.

In a celebratory programme held at Gandhi Bhawan, the Congress leaders felicitated Smt. M. Rajini and Shri. P.A Sharfuddin with Shawls and Flowers. They also distributed sweets to mark the occasion.

Port Blair, May 8: The Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan in association with Science Centre Port Blair organized a State Level Camp for the selected students of class VI to XI on 10th December, 2023. In the State Level Camp, three students from each class were selected as first, second & third position winners. The students who secured first & second positions from each class were declared qualified to participate in the National Level Camp to be held on May 18 & 19, 2024 at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh.
