Port Blair, Sept. 21: "Decision with Delivery" has been the resolve of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi's government. The government has worked on a war-footing to provide affordable, accessible and quality healthcare to all.
PM Modi has taken steps for the health and well-being of all sections including children, girls and women. The central government is running an awareness campaign across the country in the month of September under the "Poshan Abhiyan", a "maha campaign" to prevent the ill effects of malnutrition in the country.

Port Blair, Sept. 21: The Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Cell of JNRM in collaboration with State Health Agency, Andaman & Nicobar Administration organised an awareness programme on Ayushman Bharat- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY).
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. H.K. Sharma, Principal, JNRM highlighted that Ayushman Bharat being a flagship programme of Government of India strives to achieve the vision of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Port Blair, Sept. 20: The A&N Islands has been adjudged with 2nd position in the State Food Safety Index Rank among the Union Territories in the 3rd All India State Food Safety Index 2020-21 unveiled by the Hon’ble Health Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya at FSSAI, New Delhi. The prestigious award was received from the Hon’ble Minister by the A&N Administration.

Port Blair, Sept. 21: As per data available, a total of 4,25,681 doses of vaccines have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands, out of the target beneficiaries of 2, 81, 603 (approx.). A total of 1,68,481 eligible people in the age group of 18 to 44 years have been vaccinated till date.

Port Blair, Sept. 20: At a time when the Government of India has been pushing hard on promoting ‘Fit India’ by organizing sports and fitness activities across the nation, the RCS group taking the initiative a step ahead has come up with state of the art Badminton Courts known as ‘Andaman Badminton Club’ at Chidambaram Colony, Prothrapur. The formal inauguration of the club was done today in the presence of an august gathering.
